posted on: 30.09.2008

News - Video

This video demonstrates how to install BIGACE on your webhost. You see how and where to download the latest BIGACE version, how to extract the files, upload them using FTP and then the browser-based installation process.

Screencast: Installation of BIGACE

Don't like the quality? If you want to watch the video in HD, please use the link to go to BIGACE Web CMS on Vimeo directly or use this link to get to the Screencast: BIGACE Web CMS - Installation. You can also download the HD version of the video, use the link on the video page.

There is an Installation guide in the wiki available as well.

Please note: This is my second screencast and I am still not used to this kind of stuff. I should re-record my voice for some parts, but I am to lazy ;) so just ignore these little "hiccups".

@Charlie: DBS's file? No extra setup required, just open the install.php file, everything will be installed properly. Please come to the our forum for detail questions.

Hi there, I am interested in this program which was recommended by the FSF to me. Unfortunately your video screencast seems to require non free software (adobe flash). Is there a way you could use html5 video on your website instead? Maybe it's just me.... I use Trisquel Linux

Hi Sascha! You could have a look at the Vimeo page if they provide a way to use HTML5 instead of Flash. Do you know that there is Gnash, the free Flash implementation? You might give that a try.
I am sorry that you cannot see the Video, but installing Bigace is just a matter of minutes and should be possible without watching the screencast ;)
And you get all the help you need in the forum, if you encounter any problems ;)
